Nature is the best place to observe “color perspective” and practice creating illusions to three-dimensional space. Using Nupastels on paper, this workshop is for artists, architects and designers interested in greater control of light for sure-footed color choices. Students will learn the principles and then practice seeing and exploring color notation to allude to depth on paper and for use in the built environment as they discover Provincetown’s unique surroundings.

Kimberly Collins Jermain is a landscape painter, teacher and practicing architectural color designer.

Her paintings explore the light of the inter-tidal zone along the New England coast where she snorkels each summer. Jermain received her BFA from the University of New Hampshire and MFA from Tufts University. She teaches color theory to artists and architects and collaborates with owners and designers, sharing color strategies that add comfort and value to architectural projects throughout New England, the US and abroad.
