This series of sessions provides a fun, supportive, and engaging environment for creativity. From week to week we’ll work with a variety of media, both inside the Museum School studios, PAAM’s galleries, and outside—utilizing each environment to inspire art-making.
Take one class or sign up for the whole summer! All materials are supplied, and walk-ins are welcome!
Feel free to bring along materials to any class that might be able to be used, as well as a snack and/or drink. For outside days, please bring a hat and sun block.

As an artist and a teacher, Cheryl believes that seeing ideas develop, take shape, and breathe in harmony invites celebration and joy in the creation of art. Each day brings a new discovery.
Cheryl Carlson-Perrow’s art reflects the adventure in the creative process. She is known as an innovative studio artist exploring new relationships between materials, techniques and mediums. Her insight into blending these relationships has led her to create beautiful one-of-a kind fine art. She has exhibited nationally and her work is represented in private collections internationally.
She received her BFA in art education from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and has studied with many exceptional artists whose talents and wisdom have shaped her work and her life. Professional experiences have included commercial art, calligraphic and graphic design studios, her own freelance graphic design studio, teaching classes and workshops in private and public schools, art conservatories, businesses, and higher education. During her 22 years as a professional calligrapher, her clients included Disneyland, the Crystal Cathedral, BayBanks, the Westin Copley Hotel, and the Langham Hotel, among many others. Currently, she is teaching workshops, and continuously exploring new ideas developing her beautiful artwork.
