Online Basic Still Life in Pastel

In this class, students will learn how to draw a simple scene with pastel, learn to accurately measure, gain skill in coloring and shading, and adding rich textures with pastel. Students will learn to add finishing touches that make an image stand out and will improve drawing accuracy. 

When finished, students will have acquired a new set of skills and greater understanding of how to effectively use pastels.

Palladino founded The Drawing Room in 2020. After teaching art for 7 years in San Francisco, she pursued a PhD in Clinical Psychology, combining art and therapy in private practice. After moving to Ojai, CA from San Francisco and then from Ojai to Wellfleet, Palladino wanted to provide a studio where kids and adults could study painting and drawing in a supportive and welcoming environment. 

Palladino earned a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a PhD from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She have shown work at the SF MOMA Fort Mason gallery, The Diego Rivera Gallery, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Bridges Gallery, Maynard ArtSpace an the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis.
