Born in Northern Italy, Vico Fabbris was surrounded by art that inspired him and copied works by Renaissance masters. He completed an MFA painting degree from l'Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence. Fabbris lives in Boston, spending time in Florence and Provincetown where he lived for many years.
Included among Fabbris’ accomplishments: two-time recipient of the Massachusetts Cultural Council Grant in painting; invited to the DeCordova Museum Biennial Exhibition; recipient of an Artist in Residence at The Studios Key West; inclusion in New American Painting catalogue; twice finalist Blanche Coleman Award; and commissioned to do a lithograph for Muka Print Project, New Zealand.
Currently, Fabbris is represented by Gurari Collections, Boston, Rice Polak Gallery, Provincetown and Graficas Gallery, Nantucket. His work has been exhibited at the Provincetown Art Association & Museum; the Cape Museum of Fine Arts; Forum Gallery, New York and Los Angeles; Lucky Street Gallery, Key West; Clark Gallery, Lincoln and Giardino Botanico, Florence, Italy. He’s in the collection of Fidelity Investments; Provincetown Art Association & Museum; DeCordova Museum; Arkansas Art Center; and Suffolk University. Fabbris is currently Senior Lecturer at the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University, Boston where he has enjoyed teaching drawing and painting since 1995.
