An active Cape Cod artist since the 1980s, he has been involved in numerous solo and group shows in Boston, New York, and Provincetown, most recently at Maurice Arlos Gallery, NYC and Gallery Ehva. He is currently represented by Berta Walker Gallery in Provincetown. He is well known for his expressive and atmospheric pastels and oil paintings as well as work with ink and brush which reveal a deep and personal connection to the essence of things. His constant work and observation of the great masters gives his work a human depth and history that transcends into the present moment through the natural world around him.  He resides in North Truro with his wife and son, practices Zen meditation, enjoys gardening, raising chickens and bees.

Rob DuToit is also a master frame maker, initially learning the art of gilding and frame finishing from Herbert Benevy in New York City, later honing his skills in several upscale New York shops in the 80’s. He now runs Rob DuToit Frames from his studio/shop in Provincetown.
