Laureen Prophett has always been taking photographs. As a teenager she photographed the landscapes of Cape Cod, and later became enamored with black and white photography while working at The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC, and studying part time at the Corcoran School of Art. Digital photography led to many years of enjoyment but it is iPhoneography that has captured her heart. Her iPhone is always with her, allowing her to immerse herself in the ever changing beauty, light and color of the Cape. Prophett, a former teacher, exhibits her work locally, is active in The Truro Group and is a founding member of the iPhoneography Arts Collaborative. She is also the owner of Rosewind Gallery, the place where “art pops up”.
