Adam Peck is a local artist who has been a resident of Provincetown since the early 1970’s. Adam attended the University of Hawaii, University of California at Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, American University in Paris, France and the New York School of Design.
He was born in Los Angeles, California and has lived in and around Los Angeles, Ca.; Salem, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Las Vegas, Nevada; Wichita, Kansas; NYC, New York; Key West, Florida; and Paris, France. Adam enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in Hawaii for four years. Afterwords he remained in Hawaii to run a scuba diving business while living on his sailboat, the KUDU. In the 1970’s, he moved to New York and pursued a career in architectural design. Adam spent the next decade as the furniture design editor of Country Living Magazine.
In 2009, Adam opened his first gallery, Adam Peck Gallery, which is still running today. He and his wife, Marian, owned and ran a second gallery in Provincetown – A gallery – from 2011 – 2015 where other artists were represented. His furniture and paintings are in collections in the US, Australia, England, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland.
