Will Barnet had one of the longest and most distinguished careers in the history of American art. A devoted printmaker with a technical expertise encompassing lithograph, woodcut, serigraph, and intaglio. As early as 1934, he became the official printer for the Arts Student League, New York, where he had printed for the Mexican muralist, Jose Clemente Orozco. Barnet taught and influenced several generations of printmakers around the world, and it is through his remarkable legacy in prints that he has found his widest audience.
