Lester Johnson’s career as an artist spans more than fifty years. with over 100 one-man exhibitions to his credit, Johnsons painting have been widely acclaimed and written about and has been an influence on dozens of younger contemporary artists. What is less well known to most people is that Lester Johnson also produced over 140 prints in the course of his career. Working in almost every print media: etching, woodblock, lithography, screenprinting, and monoprint, Johnson has pursued his vision. This book will attempt to bring all these prints together for the first time and reveal this fascinating and extensive body of work.
