Michael Prodanou: Figures
Michael Prodanou has spent a lifetime making spaces for habitation and interaction. Using the architect’s tools of mass, proportion, material and light, he made places for people to explore the rights and possibilities we assign to each other. He has always drawn, never having produced an architectural plan or scheme on a computer.
In 2000, another type of line emerged, and another kind of space. The paintings and works on paper seen in this catalog and exhibition reference the body. For us he uses his understanding of the capabilities of a line to describe, to activate, explore, anticipate, define, dream and play – to make a body of work that feels right on time.
