ELEANOR ROOSEVELT ON RIVERSIDE DRIVE
By Penelope Jencks
On and off from 1988 to 1996 the sculptor, Penelope Jencks, worked to create the sculpture of Eleanor Roosevelt at the corner of 72nd Street and Riverside Drive in Manhattan. This is a memoir of that endeavor, the high points as well as the low, much of it taken from the journals Jencks kept while working on the sculpture.
