Online Workshop: Pocket Sketching with Kath Macaulay

Mondays + Thursdays, October 12 – October 26 | 1-2:30pm | $175 for members, $185 for non-members

From the comfort of your home learn to sketch anywhere, fearlessly. With 5 hour-and-a-half interactive sessions, live evaluations; all recorded and available for two weeks to help you learn, you will love this technique, which is perfect for hiking, sitting in a cafe, or sketching in the living room. Come join us for fun, plus we have an extra half hour for socializing with your fellow sketchers.

Kath Macaulay spends her time painting and teaching Pocket Sketching ™ workshops. This includes nine years at Canyon Ranch, Tucson, AZ, the Chautauqua Institutes in Chautauqua, NY, The Burchfield Penney Museum International Institute of Watercolor in Buffalo, NY, and many U.S. and Canadian art organizations. She has produced three hour-and-a-half DVDs covering three-day basic workshop, as well as a webinar in 4 parts to review technique. Trademarked Pocket Sketching as a seminar/workshop. Was an artists’ agent for 11 artists, establishing gallery relationships from San Diego, CA to Taos, NM while studying art marketing at NMSU.

Macaulay has exhibited in national shows with several Best in Show awards, plus noted one-person shows including an international show at the Chamizal, El Paso, Texas, sponsored by Mexico and the United States, featuring 56 paintings done by Kath from the Western United States National Parks.

  • Payment Information

    Refund Policy: Cancellation within 14 days of a workshop start date results in the full loss of tuition. Cancellation and transfers can be made with no fee up to 14 days before the start date. Cancellations made in regards to COVID-19 will be refunded in full. Workshops may be cancelled by PAAM up to one day in advance due to underenrollment. In this case, tuition will be refunded in full. The Museum School is not responsible for losses incurred due to housing, travel or other arrangements. All participants are expected to arrive on time and to cultivate an attitude of mutual respect towards others. PAAM is committed to providing all participants with meaningful and productive educational experiences. As a result, PAAM reserves the right to refuse admission to any workshop, or to deny further participation to anyone who may adversely affect the quality of the educational experience. Anyone denied access to the remainder of a session, at the sole discretion of PAAM, will not be granted a refund. No pets are allowed in our studios.
    All students are required to wear a mask or cloth face covering for plein air workshops, and maintain proper social-distancing protocol. Any students traveling from out of state must be aware of current Massachusetts and Provincetown orders and safety regulations, which may include a period of self-isolation after traveling from out of state.
