Members’ Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation BBQ

Tonight we gather as an art association to discuss the year’s achievements and make decisions about the future, including voting on a new slate of Board members. Immediately following the meeting is a dinner celebrating our incredible volunteers. The dinner is free for volunteers, $10 for everyone else.
PROPOSED BOARD SLATE
After careful consideration, the Nominating Committee believes that the proposed slate maintains a proper balance of artistic and business leadership for a diversified Board that will adequately reflect and represent the PAAM membership. Heather Blume – Artist, Educator, Harwich Port- Heather Blume is a native of Cape Cod. The daughter of artist Rachel Ellis Kaufman , she spent her early years benefiting from the examples of a diverse artistic community. Years later, she graduated from the University of North Florida with a BFA summa cum laude in Painting, and then from the Graduate School of Figurative Art of the New York Academy of Art with an MFA cum laude in Sculpture. She finished her formal education recently having completed the Advanced Art Appraisal Certificate Program at the Rhode Island School of Design. Heather has been a member and an instructor at PAAM for over two decades.
Maria Lopez –Former Judge, Provincetown and Boca Raton, FL. Maria Lopez is a Cuban-American former judge and a former television jurist on the syndicated court show, Judge Maria Lopez. Judge Lopez made legal history as the first Latina appointed to the bench in Massachusetts when she was selected as a District Court Judge by Governor Michael Dukakis. Judge Lopez continued to make her mark in history as the first Latina to be appointed to the Massachusetts Superior Court in 1993. Lopez served as a Superior Court judge and as an assistant attorney general in civil rights division of the office of the Massachusetts Attorney General.
Dawn McCall – International business, Provincetown and Miami. Dawn L. McCall is a business leader experienced in establishing and operating businesses in international markets. Former President, Discovery Networks International. Served as Coordinator of the Bureau of International Information Programs under Hilary Clinton.
