Unless otherwise noted, workshops are appropriate whether you’re just beginning or more advanced. Looking for something specific? Check out the expanded categories which might just lead you right to what you wanted. If you have questions, let us know. We’re happy to put you in touch with the instructor if we can’t answer something for you.

Workshops are generally limited to 10 students, though some are even smaller. For Artists in their Studio workshops, directions will be provided upon registration. Studios are available approximately half-hour before class and half-hour after class, unless otherwise noted. Certain workshops include additional studio time before or after class. Occasionally we also have studio space available during the week which can be rented for private student use. Our studios are fully accessible.

Material and supply costs are in addition to tuition and vary by workshop. They are the responsibility of the student. Many supplies are available in Provincetown at Conwell Lumber or Lands End True Value, both of which provide discounts to PAAM students. We recommend you obtain harder-to-find items before coming to town. PAAM studios include easels, stools, tables, drawing stools, and side tables. Additional materials are provided for printmaking workshops. Refer to workshop material lists for specific information.

A limited number of portable, outdoor, French easels are available for a nominal rental fee for plein air workshops. Otherwise, students are welcome to utilize our studio easels if they are not able to bring an outdoor easel.

Students traveling who are unable to carry materials with them can make prior arrangements to have items shipped to PAAM.

In the case that you forgot something, it broke, or ran out, we usually have one you can borrow. Feel free to ask.
