This class is designed for those who have never drawn before and those that want to begin again. Why doesn’t an orange look like a basketball? Or a grapefruit? Or a lemon or lime? Why doesn’t a rock look like a potato? The answers to these questions are what might define your drawings. Practice is only part of drawing. Seeing what you are looking at is all about drawing. This class will begin with a simple drawing that will create a foundation on which to build. The group will explore four different mediums. Pencil (graphite,) charcoal, conte crayon, and pen and ink. Then students will be asked to try these mediums on different kinds of papers. This workshop will be an entertaining way to move out of your comfort zone only to find a new one!
