Free Members’ Virtual Workshop: Creating a Daily Art Practice

Thursdays 2-3pm 4/16, 4/23, 4/30

During the first session participants will consider their own goals – maybe to try something new, maybe to deepen an existing skill, maybe to push their current work to a new level. They will learn about setting strategies for success, look at how to find the balance between something achievable but at the same time challenging, how to set rules for the project to encourage focus, and how to use resources they already have so they don’t have to leave their place of isolation.

Between each online session participants can work on their daily pieces which may be shared within the group on a Facebook group made specifically for the workshop, and during the subsequent sessions there will be opportunities to discuss progress and achievements as well as hurdles and how to overcome them.

“A daily art practice is a great way for an artist to keep focused but also experiment, and I’ve found them to significantly inform my work overall, usually in unexpected and unforeseen ways.”
