Teaching Artists and Youth Educators

Teacher with student outside

We are always seeking connections with local Teaching Artists who wish to be involved in our Workshop Program or Youth Programs.

Programs for adults and youth include our intensive summer program and year round workshops; the Lenore Ross Curating Program for local schools and teachers; and our award-winning Art Reach, Art on the Edge and Reaching Forward Mentor Programs for children, teens and college-age students. Workshops run from one day to multi-week sessions throughout the year. Grant and donor funded youth programs run October – May and may require a one day to multi-semester teaching commitment.

ADULT WORKSHOPS

Media includes painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and sculpture, plein air painting, art history, photography, computers, film. Classes may take place at PAAM or off-site in the Artist’s in their Studio’s program.

YOUTH WORKSHOPS

Curating programs include traditional media listed above, along with projects that focus on comic books, digital and stop motion animation, digital game design, graphic novels, murals, installation art, and digital music. Classes take place in the Museum School at PAAM or in participating schools. The Museum School is a green, non-toxic studio environment and prohibits the use of toxic materials accordingly.

We are particularly interested in teaching artists who have a clear relationship with Provincetown and Cape Cod and/or who have experience offering children and teens creative, project-based classes and workshops of the highest caliber.
