Beginning Drawing for Everyone with Vicky Tomayko
June 19-21, 1-4pm, $175

Drawing is a rewarding form of self-expression that anyone can learn. In a comfortable studio setting, explore the basic skills needed for drawing from life. Careful instruction in contour, gesture, volume, shading, contrast, proportion, perspective, and composition will help you create drawings that extend your knowledge of the visual world. Discover new ways of seeing and working that allows you to draw what you observe and aid you in finding your personal style.


Workshop Materials List

Vicky Tomayko is an artist and printmaker living in Truro. She was a fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and has an MFA in printmaking from Western Michigan University. In addition to PAAM, she teaches at Cape Cod Community College and the Fine Arts Work Center, where she also manages the print studio for the residency and Massachusetts College of Art Low Residency Masters programs. She was an artist-in-residence at the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School in Orleans for ten years. Tomayko was Assistant Professor of Printmaking at Connecticut College. She is represented by the Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown. www.vickytomayko.com
