This studio painting workshop intended for all levels of painting. We’ll work from the memory as the subject, so you are encouraged to visit several landscapes you enjoy prior to class. This allows for the combination of different landscapes to fill your surface with blocks of color and contrasting shapes building to the completion of your ideas. Each session ends with a critique and discussion. This course includes afternoon access during non-class time.

Michael McGuire is a local painter and gallery owner in Provincetown with a studio in North Truro. A graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a degree in sculpture, he began transitioning to painting 25 years ago and works primarily with oil, painting landscapes and seascapes that reflect the local surroundings. He exhibits in Palm Desert; New York City; Nantucket; Vieques, PR; New Hope, PA; and Mexico.
