The exciting world of color is explored in a series of experimental studies with Color Aid papers and collages, based on the color courses of Josef Albers, noted abstract painter, teacher, and color theorist. Best known for his works Homages to the Square and his innovative publication The Interaction of Color, he is often credited with creating one of the most influential and far-reaching art education programs of the 20th century.
The goal of the studies is to heighten perception and gain insight into color relationships. Their volatile behavior and constant interplay makes for a surprising adventure, even for experienced artists. It provides an enriched color background for any art or design enterprises.
“Anyone who predicts the effect of color proves he has no experience with color.”- Attributed to Josef Albers
