| Welcome to the Lillian Orlowsky/William Freed Museum School at PAAM!
This year’s roster features over thirty new workshops throughout the summer. We’re pleased to welcome back many of our favorite and well-known faculty members, and to introduce a number of new artist-teachers to our program.

Our commitment to offering affordable, substantive workshops that address a broad range of interests and levels of experience has led to the creation of numerous one and two-day workshops in watercolor, collage, experimental drawing, monotype, abstract painting, white-line woodblock printing, figurative painting, and figure drawing. And based on participants’ requests, we’ve more than doubled our roster of drawing classes.
Continue the Cape’s tradition of plein air painting: capture the luminous sand flats, lush moors, and winding, colorful streets of Provincetown. Study with artists in their private studios, for a unique and supportive creative experience. Learn the printmaking technique that was created here in the winter of 1916, and is celebrated throughout the world today.
All Museum School participants have access to the museum galleries, featuring numerous revolving exhibitions, and free lectures, presented by art historians, artists, and curators. Visit for a day, or sign up for multiple classes throughout the summer.
To long-time friends and members of PAAM, we extend our gratitude for your continued support of the LOWF Museum School. And to new friends, we encourage you to study with us, and discover why passionate art-lovers, gifted artists, writers, poets, and, playwrights have been drawn to the tip of Cape Cod for over a century. Create, explore, and expand your sense of what’s possible at the LOWF Museum School at PAAM.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Romanos Rizk, trained as a classical painter, came to Provincetown to study with Henry Hensche at his Cape School, and subsequently became a forty-year artist-member of PAAM. His lifelong pursuit of artistic excellence has inspired a new scholarship at PAAM, named in his honor. The Romanos Rizk Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to prospective students who have demonstrated talent, based on review of their portfolios, and their intentions to pursue a career in art. The award will consist of a tuition credit of up to $1,000 per year for the study of painting or drawing at PAAM, and a certificate for art supplies during the period the recipient is a student at PAAM. There are no cash grants. The scholarship can be used for any classes at the Museum School at PAAM. Applicants must submit a one-page statement of artistic vision and a CD or slide portfolio of their work. Applications are due on or before May 15, 2010.
The Robyn Watson Scholarship: In memory of the late director’s dedication to quality education at PAAM, this scholarship to attend one summer workshop, is offered annually to a high school student from outer Cape Cod. Preference is given to Provincetown High School students, but this should not discourage other local students from applying. Applicants are asked to write a letter articulating their interest in a class, with alternate class choices (as some classes may be filled and closed to enrollment), along with information on financial need. Letters can be sent to Lynn Stanley. Applications accepted until scholarship is awarded..
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES & REFUNDS
PAAM reserves the right to cancel any class due to under-enrollment or for reasons beyond the Museum School’s control; a full refund will be granted in such cases. In the event a course is cancelled, notice will be given one to three days prior to the course/workshop date. Class deposits are nonrefundable after May 4, 2010. Full tuition is nonrefundable 30 days or less before class start date. Outdoor classes will be held inside if the weather does not cooperate.
