From Charles W. Hawthorne to Hans Hofmann, to the community of artists who call Outer Cape Cod home today, Provincetown has been the destination of gifted teaching artists, and students serious about the practice of painting.
Continue the tradition of putting a brush loaded with color to canvas or working a palette knife against the uncharted surface of a gessoed board. Paint in the field (see plein air) or study a variety of approaches in the studio.
