Art and Ecology with Rebecca Tesha Arnoldi

This workshop will free up natural abilities of creative expression and our capacity for deep observation. We will make careful observational notations and also experiment with open free drawing methods to express the essence, energy, and emotion we see and feel as we connect with the natural world that surrounds us. All levels (and especially beginners!) are welcome. No art experience or ecology knowledge needed: only an interest in the natural world and a desire to explore the creative process outdoors.
Rebecca Tesha Arnoldi is an artist and naturalist with over 15 years of experience making nature-based art and educating people about nature. She has led art/nature study workshops at Harvard Museum of Natural History, Harvard University’s Arnold Arboretum, Polly Hill Arboretum in Martha’s Vineyard, and at the Cape Cod National Seashore as an interpretive park ranger. She has shown her art in The Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, A.I.R. Gallery in New York, the Arad Art Museum in Israel, and other venues. She has an MFA in Painting and an MS in Environmental Education. Rebecca is author and illustrator of Life in the Tides (Eastern National 2001).
