Students will learn Adobe Illustrator’s powerful drawing and layout tools to create illustrations, logos, banners, business cards, posters and other common design projects. Students should have basic computer skills.

Students will learn to create a multiple page layout with Adobe InDesign. Learn the tools and basic layout skills. Broaden your vocabulary of file formats and other essentials. Students should have basic computer skills.

Nathaniel Jasper has worked for many companies and organizations, including: Four Rivers Public Charter School, Williams College, Williamstown Elementary School, Holyoke Community College, Amherst Leisure Services, Forbes Library, Lilly Library, YES Computers, Brown Computer Solutions and Internal Drive Tech Camps at MIT. Tracey Anderson graduated in Drawing & Painting from Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland and completed Post Graduate Studies at The Royal College of Art in London. She has participated in many group and solo exhibitions in the UK as well as in New York and Provincetown; she is currently represented by the Julie Heller Gallery in Provincetown.
She has taught web design to high school students and adults, as well as classes that work across media for children and adults at the Museum School at PAAM, Castle Hill Center for the Arts, Truro, MA and the Great River Arts Institute, Bellows Falls, VT.

Website Building with Tracey Anderson

Week-Long Intensive: August 17-21, 1-4pm $350
This class will practice innovative, creative approaches to conceptualizing and building a business or personal website. Our goal is to bypass generic web design templates in order to translate our unique vision into an effective online presence. The class will be structured each week around learning the Dreamweaver web design interface and auxiliary software programs required to create a fully functional website.
Individual and group tutorials will be a part of our learning experience as we progress. We will learn on a Mac platform but there is no significant difference between Dreamweaver on a PC or Mac. Once learned, participants will be able to use either platform to design on. Knowledge of Dreamweaver and any auxiliary software is not required but general computer skills are necessary. This class is offered three times this summerin Monday evening sessions over 4 week installments in July & August, and a 1 week intensive in August. Those interested in taking multiple sessions will receive individualized attention to progress over time.

Learn the powerful image-editing program Adobe Photoshop! Students will learn Photoshop’s powerful selection, drawing and editing tools to enhance images, create logos, website banners, business cards, posters and other common design projects. We will also work with digital cameras and scanners. Students should have basic computer skills.
Become an Ebay Seller! with Tracey Anderson, August 25-28, 1-4pm $250
Are you ready to part with those treasures you’ve been collecting, or are you an artist who’d like to develop new ways to sell your work? In this workshop, participants will learn how to sell on Ebay. Instruction will include: registration and set up of an eBay account; creation of a PayPal account to receive electronic payments; researching and creating effective listings, titles and descriptions; designing effective layout, including photos; determining pricing and shipping; monitoring your listings, including safety and security; and completing transactions.
