Art Combo for Kids with Tia Scalcione, July 14-17, 1-3:30pm, $100

This class will allow children to experiment with a variety of 2D media, including charcoal, paint, ink wash, collage and printmaking.
Students will work both in the studio and from the landscape, outdoors. Each class will be devoted to investigating a different material, allowing children to explore their art making possibilities.

| Tia Scalcione received her BFA from Boston University, School of Fine Arts with a disciplinary focus in painting and education, in 1995. She has worked in a variety of arts education settings, including the East Boston Social Centers where she was a counselor and coordinated after-school art programs for children aged 5-14; for the past 5 years she has taught printmaking, painting and drawing on the Outer Cape. She has shown work at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, and the New Bedford Art Museum. |
