The Art of Influence: Painting from the PAAM Collection with Franny Golden, August 12-15, 9-12:30, $300
|
 |
For centuries, artists have developed their skills, been inspired by, and gleaned valuable insight into the creative processes of their artistic forbearers through the study of individual works of art. In this workshop participants will study, draw, and paint directly from still lifes and figurative works in the Provincetown Art Association and Museum’s permanent collection. Participants will be challenged to hone their ability to see, experiment with color mixing, and to work within the compositional frame of realized works of art. The goal is that, by turning our attention to masterworks of the past, we will deepen and enrich our own creative processes.
