Landscapes in Oil: Enhancing the Studio Experience in North Eastham with Rick Fleury, July 7, 8 & 10, 10:00-4:00pm, $300
This course will focus on enhancing the studio experience by employing practical solutions and techniques—such as how to set up your workspace, arrange lighting, develop your palette and utilize various mediums and materials. Ways to enrich the painting experience—how music might affect palette and brushstroke, for example—will also be explored. This focus will form the foundation for painting the Cape Cod landscape in oil, creating a more productive and enriching experience in the studio.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Rick Fleury has dedicated his professional life to painting coastal landscapes of New England. Rick’s work has been exhibited at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum and the Cotuit Center for the Arts, and the Cahoon Museum of American Art. His work is in private collections in the United States and Europe, and in the collections of PAAM and the Cape Cod Museum of Art, where he had a solo show exhibition in 2006. He is represented by Addison Art Gallery in Orleans.
