Working the Landscape: Thinking Three-Dimensionally in Truro, with Nathalie Ferrier, August 4, 5 & 7, 10-4pm, $300
In this three-day intensive, participants will utilize the dunes, woods and beaches surrounding Nathalie Ferrier’s studio in Truro—the landscape immortalized by the painter Edward Hopper—to develop fresh approaches to working three-dimensionally.

Participants will be encouraged to cull ideas and work with objects found out of doors; a variety of media, including fiber arts will also be explored. Some time will be devoted to looking at the work and discussing the processes of others artists. On day three, participants will have the opportunity to create an installation in the studio. Bring a sketchbook, any materials you’d like to work with, and plan to take at least one long walk into the dunes. Additional materials will be supplied. 5 student limit
