Children will explore the concepts of observational perspective, by visiting historic locations in and around Provincetown. Each day will take us to a new and exciting area of town, where we will create works of art that reflect both architecture and nature; we will focus on understanding how perspective is created in a 2 dimensional piece of art. In the event of inclement weather, classes will be flexible enough to be scheduled in a protected area, such as the Visitors Center near Race Point, or at PAAM. Children should bring a large hard bound sketchbook, or spiral sketch pad and drawing materials such as crayons, pencils, markers and watercolor sets.

Michael Walden received his Masters Of Fine Arts, with an emphasis on Art Education, from Boston University in 1996. Prior to that, he studied painting in Florence Italy. His teaching experience includes operating a small art school in Central Massachusetts. He currently teaches art to children in the Worcester Public school system, while pursuing a lifelong interest in the study of Architecture and Design at the Boston Architectural Center.
